Kid's Church
Young'ns: 1st - 3rd Grade Students
Warriors: 4th - 5th Grade Students
Both levels study Bible characters in monthly themed units. These units provide in-depth study of the lives and people of the Bible, and especially how God revealed who He is throughout their lives. We encourage parents to read the related chapters at home and celebrate our learning together with Family Fun Night once a month. All this is done with the ultimate goal of establishing families that pray together, read together and meet with God in their homes, together.
Pre-school
All four- and five-year-olds (Pre-K and Kindergarten-aged children)
Pre-schoolers learn from the Hands-On Bible Curriculum produced by Group Publishing. These engaging lessons, with wonderfully crafted monthly themes, introduce children to Jesus, famous Bible stories, and basic truths like kindness and honesty.
Nursery
Babies through three-years-old.
At Focal Point we recognize that even the youngest of our children are learning - often more than we realize. For our two- and three-year-olds we utilize a two's and toddlers curriculum also produced by Group Publishing. Themes like 'Jesus Cares for People' are reinforced and repeated through fun and engaging lessons that offer numerous hands-on activities.
Sunday Schedule
The Nursery opens ten minutes prior to each service. If your children are less than 4 years of age, please bring them right to the nursery. Older children will enjoy worship with their parents until they are released. An announcement will be made (generally after the second song) for children to meet their teachers in the back of the sanctuary. After the service, parents will need to collect their children from the classrooms.
10am Service
Young'ns will meet in HCMS Computer Lab.
Warriors will meet in HCMA Gymnasium.
Nursery will meet in room next to the HCMS Computer Lab.
Pre-school will meet in classroom connected to the HCMS Cafeteria.
Special Events
Towards the end of each month we celebrate a special Bible Character at Family Fun Night. It is opened to all parents with children, pre-school to grade five. Popcorn, movie, bible quizzes and prizes make for an exciting, meaningful night of Family Fun.
