Core Beliefs
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe in God. We worship one God who is existent in three persons - the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; Mark 12:29).
We believe in Jesus. We believe in the validity of the virgin birth. We acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God and that He died on the cross to save the world from sin (Isaiah 7:14; Romans 8:34; Acts 1:10).
We believe in the Holy Spirit. He is equal with God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily. The baptism in the Holy Spirit is an endowment of power available to every believer subsequent to conversion. We believe in the present supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit through the believers by the manifestation of His gifts (II Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, John 14:16-17, 26; John, 15:26; Acts 1:8; I Corinthians 2:12, 3:16, 12:7-11, 28; Ephesians 1:13, 5:18, 4:7-16; Galatians 5:22, 23, 25; Luke 24: 49; Acts 2:4; Romans 12:6-8).
We believe in the Bible. We are centered on the teachings of the Old and New Testaments which are the infallible and complete Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15-16).
We believe in Salvation. Salvation is not earned but it is a gift received by all who believe and trust in Christ’s name (1 John 5:10; Romans 10:13-15).
