Go Saints

It was awesome to watch the Saints go marching into Victory last night.  It is hard to believe that it has been about 4 years since Katrina visited New Orleans and demolished the city.  New Orleans shocked the world last night by beating the highly favored Colts.  What a journey, from devastation to Victory in just four years.  No one in a million years would have guessed four years ago that the Saints would have accomplished this.  This thought provokes another thought in me.  It is hard to believe what God has done in the life of so many Christians that I know.  All Christians are Saints because of the precious sacrifice of Jesus.  No one in a million years would have guessed that in such a short period of time God would take such broken people from devastation to Victory.  God is awesome!

Mission

The longer I walk with Jesus the more I realize that I am created for mission.  The Scripture says that Jesus came to seek and save the lost.  He also said "as the Father has sent me, so send I you (this is everyone of his followers)."  God is sending us. Are we going?  He is a gracious God and will not force us to follow Him.  He may make our lives miserable until we submit to His will but He will not make us say yes to His call to Mission.  This call to mission is simple.  Go into everyman's world and share Christ love.  Lord help me and all who read this to say yes to you.

Church Merger

After months of processing, praying and preparation Hunter's Creek Community Church and Family Life Church have merged and become Focal Point Church (a church of focus:  focused on loving God and loving people).  It is REALLY exciting to see what God is doing!  I don't think that I have ever been more excited in my entire Christian life about ministry or serving Jesus. God has aboslutely put us together.  It is awesome to see how He has helped us to accomplish this.  I can't wait to see what will become of this.  In addition, after many years of prayer, we finally have a building for the church.  We will close on March 5th and will begin renovations immediately.  Please keep us in prayer as we journey through this.   Blessing!
